St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: It All Started 53 Years Ago

Feb 4, 1962, Danny Thomas realized his dream of opening a hospital dedicated to finding cures and saving children everywhere. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is now a beacon of hope for families and children fighting cancer.

We'll be hosting our Country Cares St. Jude Radiothon March 5 & 6 on 100.7 XL Country. We're also holding a kickoff concert the night of March 4, about which we'll have details here on the website and on-air Monday.

St. Jude doesn't just work to cure cancer in children, they share their research freely with hospitals all over the world. The work being done at St. Jude directly helps men, women and children here in Bozeman and throughout the state of Montana.

The dream and the work all began on this date in 1962.
