I keep telling Lori that SHE snores.  She tells me that I snore.  Now there's new research out that states, snoring is not only annoying to your bed-mate, it may also shrink you brain. Uh oh...

Researchers from the United Kingdom and Australia who analyzed MRIs from 60 people with severe sleep apnea found that they had lost about 8% of their gray matter in two brain areas, including one critical for motor function.

Nighttime oxygen deprivation could be the cause, according the the study’s coauthors.  The good news is that, with treatment, snorers may be able to recover brain matter.

In an Italian study, people who used continuous positive airway pressure for three months regained lost brain cells.
