My husband has been out of town for a week now.

I am used to having him around.  We are that family that does just about everything together, and always have the kids with us.  I know how blessed I am, and truly appreciate it every day.  With two of us, it's pretty easy.  This past week has not been so easy.

I have been working, the kids have school and activities, school projects, homework, and a couple of them have been sick, and I've been trying to keep everything on track.

I am exhausted...and it's only been a week.

There's no break.  There's no downtime.  There's a lot of juggling, though...trying to do my best at work and at home.

This is why I salute single parents.  I sometimes complain that Mike doesn't do as much around the house as I would like.  I'm realizing that just having that second person there can make all the difference in the world.  If I get tired or frustrated, he can take over.

When you're by yourself, you have to suck it up and TCB (take care of business!) .

AND IT'S ONLY BEEN A WEEK!

So, to all you single parents, I salute you, and next time I complain about my schedule, I will tell myself to shut up.
