Scrapbook Scribbles 7: Must-Have-Go-To Tools
Just like in my kitchen, I have my favorite “must have” tools for scrapbooking and card making. In my kitchen, it’s my Pampered Chef knives and shears for cutting; in my craft room, it’s my Fiskars paper cutter and Fiskars Softouch 5 Inch Micro-Tip Scissors .
I LOVE to cut things out! I know, I know, weird huh? But, with these Fiskars scissors, it’s fun and so easy. Spring-loaded handles and pointy sharp tips make it simple and almost effortless to cut fine detail. The paper cutter makes it easy to cut straight lines with precision.
I also find it necessary to have a bone folder too. I’m picky about crisp creases and folds. (I’m also an ironing fanatic!) The bone folder is also great for using to make score lines.
Another great tool to have is the Crop-A-Dile – Eyelet and Snap Punch Tool. It makes eyelet setting a breeze.
For big jobs, I mean for “heavy” or “12×12” jobs, the Crop-A-Dile II Big Bite is awesome and works great!
My rubber stamps are a huge help too, when I want just the right image, word, or phrase in just the right spot. Rubber stamping your own background paper is cost effective too.
Calligraphy pens are a must! I don’t feel that a project is complete without my own handwriting with the flair of a calligraphy pen.
So, just like in my kitchen, the success of my project (recipe) is dependent upon my favorite tools.
