Scrapbook Scribbles 15 – Cards
Do you love sending and receiving cards? Do you enjoy them even more if they are handmade and have cute little do-dads on them?? Do you get turned off by the high cost of store bought cards? You can make adorable free cards just by using your scrapbooking scraps and supplies. I’m sure this idea isn’t new to you if you are really into the paper crafting hobby. You don’t have to have a lot of time either. You can just whip up one or two when you work on your scrapbook pages. Don’t worry about the insides. Just put together some coordinating papers and one or two embellishments and you’ll have a card for whatever occasion pops up. You can always add the wording later.
Don’t know what to say? I mean, for the inside. On the outside, you know you want the card for a birthday or a thank you, or a wedding or anniversary, but what do you say on the inside? There are plenty of websites that offer free ideas for phrases for your cards. You may even be inspired to come up with your own words.
You can find envelopes for your cards at office supply stores, or find a template and make your own. You can open an existing envelope all the way up and then trace the pattern, cut it out, fold like the original envelope and glue together. Simple!
The thing is, you can have, quick and easy simple and free cards on hand for any occasion just by using what you already have, and some items that in the past, you may have thrown away.
