Rodeo fans know who four-time world champion team roping heeler Allen Bach is and were stunned to hear he suffered a stroke while driving in Stephenville, Texas.
The 30-time wrangler NFR qualifier was hauling horses at the time of his stroke and crashed into a tree. Bach, who is 58, didn't suffer serious injuries in the accident, and all horses were unharmed. He was airlifted to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth where doctors discovered a blood clot in his brain. Family members are hoping he will be released from the hospital soon so he can begin rehab at home.

Montana’s Travis Tryan was Bach's roping partner when the two reached the National Finals Rodeo.
