Rascal Flatts singer Gary LeVox escaped injury when his bus caught fire on Saturday morning (Jan. 6).

The singer and his brother were traveling on the singer's bus to Louisiana, where they planned to go hunting, when the blaze started. LeVox posted the above video on Instagram Saturday, showing thick white smoke billowing from inside the bus, permeating the space where the bunks are all the way to the steps.

"My bus caught on fire this mornin on my way to a hunting trip," LeVox writes to accompany the video. "My brother Kevin and I got out. It happened so quick and could have been a different story if the ammunition would have caught fire. What a way to start 2018. Thank you lord for your covering this mornin!"

LeVox provides a short narration in the background of the video, which looks like it was captured via cell phone. "This is our Louisiana trip," he says glumly as the smoke billows.

The singer later shared a pic of his hunting gear lying on the ground outside the bus, which is pulled to the side of the road but does not look damaged from the outside, making it look as if the fire was contained to the interior.

"Not where I was wanting to watch the sunrise," he writes.

His posts elicited a number of concerned responses from fans, who asked for assurances that he was unharmed and sent messages of support. One fan posted a play on words inspired by "Life Is a Highway,' the Tom Cochrane hit that Rascal Flatts successfully covered in 2006.

"Glad y’all are okay," an IG user named ethandbarnett writes, adding, "'Life is a Highway' .. in your case the side of a highway... be blessed @garylevox."
