With Memorial Day Weekend upon us, lots of people will be heading into Yellowstone this weekend or probably at some point during the summer. Whenever you do make you next visit to the park, here are some things you should probably do:

  • Take the Yellowstone Pledge. It's a promise you can make to yourself and the Park that you will be a good steward while you're there and that you won't leave with a baby bison in your backseat.
  • Carry Bear Spray. You never know in Yellowstone when you'll happen on a bear, especially if you are hiking. It's always better to be safe than sorry.
  • Maintain a Safe Distance From Wildlife. You do not need an up close and person selfie with a bison or elk. You will live without one. If you decide to take the selfie anyway, you may not. Remember, these are wild animals.
  • Post Some Pictures on the XL Country Facebook or Instagram Pages. We love it when you share your photos with us!

Have fun and be safe this summer in Yellowstone!
