Places You Can Help Can the Griz Before Saturday

We've only got a few days left to collect those non-perishable food items so that we can Can the Griz this year! The deadline is the end of the first quarter of this Saturday's Cat-Griz football game in Missoula.

Here's some places you can bring food this week to help us Can the Griz!

• Thursday, November 17th, Bozeman Bowl: Strike Out Hunger at the Bozeman Bowl. Time: 10 p.m. -12 a.m. doors open at 9:30 p.m. Four cans of food or $5 gets you a free game of bowling. Live DJ, food trucks, free Monster Energy drinks and apparel, prizes, champ change, and more!

• Thursday, November 17th-Empty Bowls Fundraiser: Time: 6 - 8 p.m. Where: Desert Rose in Belgrade. Warm up your body and soul by enjoying a bowl of soup at the Desert Rose and then take home the bowl! The Advanced Ceramics Class at Belgrade High School in collaboration with Desert Rose Cafe and the Gallatin Valley Food Bank is hosting a fundraiser to raise awareness of community hunger and money for the foodbank. For $10 you get yummy soup and the hand-thrown ceramic bowl it comes in. All proceeds go to the Gallatin Valley Food Bank and count towards Can the Griz!

• Friday, November 18th-1st Ever Turkey Bowl: Time: 5 - 8 p.m. 100.7 XL Country & the Boot Barn are teaming up for a Turkey Bowl on Friday, November 18, at the Boot Barn in Bozeman. Yes, you will be bowling with actual turkeys! Don’t worry, no turkeys will be harmed, as they will be frozen turkeys. Bring extra Can the Griz donations to this fun event and you'll receive extra raffle tickets! More Info

• Friday, November 18th: - Bring your food donation to the MSU Men's Basketball Game! There will be drop-off bins at the entrances to the game! Time: 7 p.m. The Bobcats will be hosting James Madison.

And remember, most grocery stores here in the Bozeman area have Can the Griz drop-off bins. Please drop a few cans in the bin if you'll be doing any shopping between now and Saturday at about 1p.m.

You can also donate $10 right now by texting the word "Can" to 50555. Checks and cash money can also be dropped off at the Gallatin Valley Food Bank, 602 Bond St, Bozeman, MT 59715. The food bank is open 1-4 & 5-7 p.m. Monday - Friday.
