National Transportation Safety Board Wants To Lower Allowable Blood Alcohol Content To .05

Driving under the influence is stupid.  It’s that simple.  However, it happens all the time and alcohol related crashes are still killing and injuring people every day.  The National Transportation Safety Board has released some recommendations on how the United States can get the number of people injured or killed down to zero.

The NTSB has used a study showing that impairment begins at the first drink and that changing the legal limit to .05 BAC would help to reduce the amount of drinking and driving.  The stats show that every hour a person dies in the US from Driving under the influence and 20 more are injured.
