New Movies This Weekend

Don't tell anyone, but I am kind of excited to see Puss In Boots!  Which of these movies would you like to see?

Opening today (October 28th) is the new animated feature, Puss in Boots, with Antonio Banderas, Selma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris. The film follows Puss in Boots, long before he meets Shrek, who teams up with Humpty Dumpty to steal a goose that lays golden eggs.

• Puss in Boots is rated PG and has a running time of 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Opening today (October 28th) is the new adventure film, In Time, starring Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy and Olivia Wilde. The movie, set in the future where time is money giving and the wealthy can live forever, Will is a poor man who rarely has a day's worth of time on his clock. But when Will is accused of murder and is forced to go on the run taking the daughter of a very wealthy man with him.

• In Time is rated PG-13 and has a running time of 1 hour and 55 minutes. It was directed by Andrew Niccol.

Opening today (October 28th) is the new drama, The Rum Diary, starring Johnny Depp, Aaron Eckhart, Michael Rispoli, Amber Heard, Richard Jenkins and Giovanni Ribisi. The film follows Kemp, a writer, who takes a new job on Puerto Rico and finds himself in love with the fiance of a businessman who is trying to recruit Kemp to write favorably about his latest scheme, leaving Kemp to decide whether to take him down or use his words to help the corrupt businessman make more money.

• The Rum Diary is rated R and has a running time of 2 hours. It was directed by Bruce Robinson.

Opening today (October 28th) is the new period drama, Anonymous, starring Rhys Ifans, Vanessa Redgrave, Rafe Spall, Joely Richardson and David Thewlis. The film follows a writer who is tortured by a man, Robert Cecil, demandsing to know if Edward de Vere, the Earl of Oxford is the true author of the writings attributed to William Shakespeare.

• Anonymous is rated PG-13 and has a running time of 2 hours and 10 minutes. It was directed by Roland Emmerich.
