Opening today (October 13th) is the new horror film, The Thing, starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel Egerton and Eric Christian Olsen. The film follows a group of researchers as they're infected by a mystery substance from another planet and must figure out a way to to stop it.

• The Thing is rated R and has a running time of 1 hour and 43 minutes.

Opening today (October 14th) is the new version of Footloose, starring Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough, Dennis Quaid, Andie McDowell and Miles Teller. The film follows a Chicago teen who moves to a Midwestern town where, because of a pastor, dancing has been outlawed.

• Footloose is rated PG-13 and has a running time of 1 hour and 53 minutes.

Opening today (October 14th) is the new comedy, The Big Year, starring Steve Martin, Jack Black, Owen Wilson, Brian Dennehy and Angelica Huston. The film follows thress men, all at turning points in their lives, enter a prestigious contest and criss cross North America in a quest to count more species of birds than anyone else.
