As I told you on my last blog, it was a big day for me last week, as my favorite jeans fit again!  That gave me the courage to get on the scale.  I was a bit disappointed.  Haven't really lost any weight.  I know, muscle weighs more than fat, and I know that my body has changed, but I would really love it if the scale reflected the changes too!

I talked to my super trainer, Annie about it today, and she doesn't think I am getting enough calories...(dramatic pause)  Not eating enough calories.  I have never heard those words uttered to me before.  I have never been so happy!  Except of course marriage, birth of children, blah blah blah.  She said that your body will hold on to the weight if you're working out and not eating enough.  This is not going to be a problem for me.

This is the beauty of working out.  Eating more!  I am also getting stronger.  Alot stronger!  At first, there was just a little bit of dread to go see Annie, even though she is absolutely wonderful.  She works me hard, and I was still weak.  I always feel so good when I am done, but it was a little daunting to get started.  Now, she works me even  harder, and I like it!   I have to really push to get through some of the exercises, but it's a good hurt, if that makes sense.

My strength and endurance are improving, and now she's going to work on my coordination.  Good luck with that, Annie!  I grew about 7 inches in one year when I was 15.  I used to fall when walking.  I was a dancer for 10 years, but haven't done that in over 20.  There are some exercises that Annie has me do, and I know I look stupid.   Luckily, I don't embarrass easily.

I bought a new video camera, and am going to try to remember to take it to the Ridge on Friday.  Then you can all laugh with me, not at me!  Actually, you can laugh at me, I don't mind.
