Montana State Will Not Retain Athletic Director

KBZK TV is reporting that Montana State will not renew the contract of Athletic Director Peter Fields when his contract terminates. According to the report, Fields will finish out his duties as athletic director until the contract is completed on June 30th.

Fields and MSU took a great deal of heat over the firing of popular head football coach Rob Ash back in December. The university has not indicated whether or not this played into the decision to not renew Fields current contract.

A national search for a new athletic director will begin this spring.
