Man Breaks Into House In Bozeman – Name Released

Quick reaction from citizens and police helped with this crime!
From Bozeman Police:
This morning at about 2am, a resident on S. Tracy called 911 to report an unknown male was attempting to enter his house.
Officers arrived on scene in less than 3 minutes and located Tyler Vermillion, a 21 year old male from Helena, in the area.
Further investigation revealed Vermillion stole clothing from an unlocked car in the area.
Thanks to an observant resident, a quick relay of information to the officers by our dispatchers, and our officers being close to the area, Vermillion was arrested before he stole from any more people or entered a house causing more problems than he could ever expect!
As a reminder, please don’t leave anything of value in your car and always lock you house doors. Unfortunately, there are many crooks out there who will steal from you, no matter how many we arrest. However, the fewer opportunities our community gives them to steal, the fewer victims we will have!
