2016 GALLATIN COUNTY FAIR ANNOUNCES SECOND NIGHT SHOW
Top Female Duo Maddie & Tae Performing July 21

Bozeman, MT—Maddie & Tae, with their debut album Start Here and number one platinum selling song last summer, “Girl in a Country Song” will perform Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Gallatin County Fair. The show, sponsored by XL Country, will be held in the Anderson Arena at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds and is FREE with Fair admission.
The blonde dynamic duo just won video of the year at the CMA (Country Music Association) Awards in November with their breakout summer hit. Their second release, “Fly,” raced up the charts and their third release playing airwaves now, “Shut Up and Fish,” looks to be just as popular.

“This is a smash hit for us,” said Lori Cox, general manager for Gallatin County Fair. “Adding Maddie & Tae to our night show lineup strengthens the Fair entertainment package. Plus we haven’t seen a female duo of this magnitude in a long time.”
Not since the Dixie Chicks has a female group led the charts in the same fashion as Maddie & Tae. “Girl in a Country Song” was just the second debut single in history by a female duo to reach number one on Country Billboard.

“We are country,” said Maddie Marlow. “We love all music, but we’re girls from where country comes from. It’s who we are; it’s how we live. And that’s the music we want to make. It makes us happy, but like what we write about, it’s also who we are.”

Maddie & Tae is the first of three nights of musical entertainment at the 2016 Gallatin County Fair. Friday, July 22 features hit maker country group Old Dominion and Saturday’s show will be the Broseph E. Lee Band performing for the Fair’s first annual fundraiser. All performances will be held in the Anderson Arena on the north side of the Fairgrounds and are free with Fair admission.

The Gallatin County Fair runs Monday, July 18 through Sunday, July 24, 2016. General fair admission tickets will be on sale this spring at $8 for adults, $5 for youth 6-12 and kids five and under are free.
