Luke Bryan found himself with a minor head injury one day before he's set to appear at the 2016 CMT Awards in Nashville. The singer shared a photo of the one-to-two inch wound on Twitter.

"My head catches more stuff," Bryan says. He reveals that the injury came via a skeet thrower, a machine used to toss clay skeet for one to shoot out of the air.

On Wednesday night (June 8) Bryan will perform "Huntin', Fishin' and Lovin' Every Day" at the 2016 CMT Awards, which will broadcast live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena — the skeet thrower story complements the lyrics to his song nicely. His video for "Strip It Down" is also up for Video of the Year, along with Blake Shelton’s “Sangria,” Chris Stapleton’s “Fire Away,” Carrie Underwood’s “Smoke Break,” Thomas Rhett’s “Die a Happy Man” and Tim McGraw’s “Humble and Kind.”

Earlier this week Bryan announced dates for his 2016 Farm Tour and a Farm Tour EP to be released in the fall. It’s his eight-annual Farm Tour, and a portion of ticket proceeds will go toward his Farm Tour Scholarship that helps a local farming family pay for college. He's currently on his Kill the Lights Tour.
