You may have heard the commercials playing on the radio already. Both Bozeman and Belgrade are increasing patrols during the holidays to crack down on drunk driving. They are working with other law enforcement agencies throughout the state during the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" crackdown. They will be adding extra patrols to arrest impaired drivers.

In Montana, driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol or drugs is defined as driving with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of: 0.08%.

According to Montana.gov, 185 lives have been lost on Montana roads this year. Eighty four of those deaths have involved alcohol. Sgt. LaCross of the Bozeman Police Department urges citizens to find a safe ride home if they have had too much to drink. Don't be another statistic. Don't drink and drive.
