If you’ve been meaning to make it over to Yellowstone for the centennial anniversary, this weekend is your last chance! As of 8am Monday, they will be closing almost all roads and entrances to prepare for the winter season of snowmobile and snow coach travel, which begins on December 15th. The one exception is the road that goes from the park’s North Entrance at Gardiner to the Northeast Entrance, which is open all year, weather permitting.

Remember, travel conditions and restrictions can change at any time if you’re driving to and in the park during fall and winter months, so be flexible, and make sure you’re prepared for changing weather conditions.

For the most current information on road conditions and road closures, visit go.nps.gov/YellRoads or call 307-344-2117 for recorded information. For info about lodging, camping, services, and activities, visit nps.gov/yell.
