John Michael Montgomery & Eddie Montgomery Recording Together

I had the opportunity to meet and become friends with Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry in 1998.  He and Troy Gentry had formed Montgomery Gentry at that time and finally got a record deal with Columbia Records in 1999.  All these years and the two brothers have never recorded together due to contractual obligations with each others label (keeping them apart).    Well not they are going into the studio before the end of 2011 to record some tunes!  John Michael was quoted in Billboard Magazine, "We've never gotten together and done actual songs of our town together. So, it's going to be interesting to go in and find what we can came out with." And they are also writing a book together too!  I can't wait to hear the music - I already LOVE the new Montgomery Gentry song "Where I Come From " which you can hear on XL COUNTRY.
