Jesse Brings in the New Year at Big Sky [PHOTOS]

My resolution for 2017 is to be more active. Montana is filled with many opportunities to get outside and enjoy nature, and my plan is to get out and see as much of it as possible in 2017.

I had made plans with a group of friends to go up to Big Sky on New Year's Day. Unfortunately, they all drank too much on New Year's Eve and bailed out, but I wasn't going to let that stop me from checking out Big Sky. I decided to make the trip alone.

Here are a few pictures from my first trip to Big Sky.

This guy was blocking traffic. It was the first time I've ever seen a Bighorn Sheep in the wild.

I had driven past Big Sky many times, but had only seen it from the highway. It's HUGE!!!

I got to try out my new snowboard gear that my mom got me for Christmas!

Seeing Big Sky up close is truly breathtaking.
