Is Westboro Baptist Church A Hate Group? 260,000 People Think So!

The Westboro Baptist Church has had a lot of media attention lately.  Mostly because they said they were planning on picketing the funerals of those killed at Sandyhook Elementary.  It seems this attention has caught up to the Church and there is a petition to recognize the church as a hate group, the petition has over 260,000 signatures on it.  

The Petition to Legally recognize Westboro Baptist Church as a hate group seems to be the most popular petition on the site.  There are also a few petitions to strip the church of its tax exempt status. Since I started writing this there has been over 200 more signatures.

Recently I wrote about Westboro Baptist Church getting hacked,  It looks like this is only the beginning of what will most likely be a long drawn out battle with the members of the Westboro Baptist Church.
