I openly admit it, I am a country girl at heart!  One legendary country tune by Tim McGraw is “My Next 30 Years”, where he talks about what he wants to accomplish after turning 3o.  Today is my 30th’s Birthday – so here’s my own personal version…

In my next 30 years, I will spend more time having fun – and less time worrying about everything.  In your 20′s you are finding out who you are, trying to establish yourself in your career ect. Well, I may or may not have accomplished this stuff – but I don’t give a damn.  I am a hard working, happy hearted person, and the rest will figure itself out.

In my next 30 years, I will spend more time traveling.  This isn’t a surprise to my close friends and family – but instead of WANTING I am going to DO. To make something happen you have to have a plan, and I am already saving for my next trip.  This also includes you MOM – I want you to go with me at least once. If you hate it I will stop bugging you, If you love it – hate to say I told you so.  LOVE YOU MOM!

In my next 30 years, I will actually get my house put together.  Again, less worrying – more time enjoying.  Do I know anything about home improvement/upkeep – No.  But I think I can figure it out in 30 years!

In my next 30 years, I will strive to be the person my dogs think I am. :)

In my next 30 years, I will keep my focus on my passion for helping others.  I say it all the time, my favorite part of this whole “radio world” is that I get the opportunity to help others.  It’s easy to get caught up in the daily tasks of running a station, but my motivation lies in the big stuff.  I will work for organizations like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Haven until the day I can’t anymore.  That is a promise.

I don’t know what’s in store for me, but I am excited for this day.  I am so happy to be closing (some would same slamming) the door to the last decade – and am so excited for what the future has in store.  Here’s to happiness and fun – CHEERS!
