According to cbsnews.com, Montana is 48th on the list of "Fattest States in America." Montana has an obesity rate of 23.6 %, and was one of only four states that saw a decrease in obesity between 2014 and 2015.

The reason for such a low obesity rate is most likely that Montanans spend a lot of time outside. Whether it's working out in the field or going for a hike, Montanans typically remain active in one way or another.
