After months of anticipation, it's almost here: Headwaters Country Jam 2016!

In less than a week, we'll be heading out the The Bridge near Three Forks for three days of country music and summer fun.

The festivities kick off Thursday, June 16 with headliner Joe Nichols, along with Darryl Worley, Annie Bosko and the Devon Worley Band. The fun continues on Friday when Tyler Farr headlines, along with Mark Chesnutt, Stephanie Quayle, Tim Montana & The Shrednecks and Laney Lou & The Bird Dogs. The three-day event wraps up Saturday when Lee Brice takes the stage, along with Chase Bryant, Halfway to Hazard, Logan Brill and The Hawthorne Roots.

So maybe you already knew the lineup, but here are three things you maybe didn't know as we count down the days until Headwaters.

    The Weather Looks Great

Remember last year when it was 100 degrees? Not this year! According to the Weather Channel, we couldn't ask for better weather for this year's Headwaters Country Jam. Forecasters are calling for mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the low to mid-80s for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

    Your Safety is Important

We all want to have fun, but it's important to be safe too. That's why Jefferson County DUI Task Force is doing its part to make Headwaters fun and safe for everyone. Extra DUI patrols will be out and there will be zero tolerance for impaired drivers. Plan for your own safety too. If you're not planning to camp at Headwaters, make sure you have a designated driver if you're traveling to and from the festival. Another option is to get a ride with Rally Bus.  Plan ahead!
