Thursday, July 7, is the annual Get Poked for Caden Blood Drive in Bozeman. Four years ago, then 3-year-old Caden was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, an aggressive form of childhood cancer. At that time, Caden received 35 transfusions of blood products and was "poked" over 150 times. The transfusions were crucial. Without them, Caden would not have survived the harmful side effects of chemotherapy. Each transfusion was a gift from an anonymous donor that Caden's family and friends will forever be grateful. You can be a hero, too! Help celebrate Caden's 8th birthday at the 5th Annual Get Poked For Caden Blood Drive.

You can "Get Poked for Caden" on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bozeman Fire Station 3. The blood drive is through United Blood Services, the exclusive provider of blood to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
