Timing and main impact: rain will change to snow this evening.
With Road surface temperatures falling below freezing early this
evening... roadways will rapidly become very icy and slick. In
the mountains and passes widespread snow... heavy at times...
will combine with strong and gusty westerly winds to create
white out conditions and impassible roads conditions along the
Continental Divide.

* Snow accumulations: total snow accumulations of one to two feet
are expected only above 6000 feet. An inch of two of snow is
possible in the valleys.

* Winds and visibility: in the mountains and passes very strong
winds will cause blowing snow with visibility reduced below one
quarter of a mile at times.

* Other impacts: travel on area roadways and mountain passes will
become treacherous with areas of black ice and snow falling on
top of icy roads. In addition... there is a risk that mountain
passes and roads could be closed due to large snow drifts and
whiteout conditions.

* Locations affected include: Battle Ridge Pass... Bozeman...
Bozeman Pass... Targhee Pass... West Yellowstone... Ennis...
Norris Hill... Raynolds Pass... Twin Bridges
