Today is Fat Tuesday! No, that doesn't mean you're supposed to eat donuts and Snickers bars. Actually, in Poland you are supposed to eat donuts. We'll explain in a moment. Fat Tuesday is actually the first day of Mardi Gras. In fact, Mardi Gras in French for Fat Tuesday.

Fat Tuesday is the Day before Ash Wednesday, which is the first day of Lent. Today is your last day to indulge before fasting for 40 days during Lent that ends on Easter (also known as Carnival).

In other countries Fat Tuesday has other traditions. In the United Kingdom it is known as Pancake Day in which they celebrate by eating . . .  well, pancakes! In Poland, they call it Paczki Day and they eat jelly-filled donuts.

How will you be celebrating Fat Tuesday? Dave & Ally are going to eat funnel cake and deep fried Twinkies until we pass out!
