The National Weather Service says it's been 20yrs since we've had the kind of extreme cold that we're about to get here in the Bozeman area starting on Sunday. An Arctic cold front is expected to drop through Montana beginning on Sunday.

This storm is expected to bring strong winds, some snow, and very cold temperatures. 2 - 4 inches of snow is possible in the Gallatin Valley with heavier snow up in the higher elevations of the local mountains.

Tuesday morning is when the coldest temperatures are expected. The National Weather Service is predicting a low of -41 below for Butte by Tuesday morning and with the windchill, it could feel as cold as -60 below zero.

For us here in Bozeman, lows lows could drop down to -25 below and possible wind chills could make it feel as cold as -30 below zero.
