Additional Information

Historic Philipsburg’s 150th Birthday Summer will be highlighted with an all-day concert at Winninghoff Park Arena on Saturday August 19th. The Sesquicentennial celebration will be the eighth outdoor charity concert which has grown each year. Organized by the Philipsburg Rotary Club, all proceeds from the event go right back to into the community for local projects and charities. Artists this year include the original and innovative tribute to Johnny Cash: The Cold Hard Cash Show; local favorite Jeremy McComb and several of his hit songwriter friends from Nashville; and Shodown, voted 2017’s “Best Band” in the Missoulian annual poll. The event will be held at Philipsburg’s outdoor amphitheater, Winninghoff Park Arena, located in historic downtown Philipsburg. Considered one of the best outdoor venues in the state, Winninghoff Park offers concert goers a great seat on its sculpted grassy hillside, and also provides excellent acoustics and plenty of room for dancing. Concert attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and umbrellas for maximum comfort.
Gates will open at 11 AM. The festivities begin at noon and run until five PM. Food, beer (including micro brews from Philipsburg Brewery), wine, soft drinks and water will be available for purchase, in addition to commemorative and musical artist merchandise.
Free RV parking will be offered at the Sunshine Station. Additional hotels and camping are within minutes of the venue. Handicapped seating will also be available. No pets, except for service dogs, will be admitted. No outside food or beverages will be allowed.
Tickets will go on sale on May 1st at www.philipsburgrotary.org. Prices are $35 for adults, $15 for 7-12 year olds, and children 6 and under free.
