International Guitar Night returns to The Ellen Theatre on Friday, February 3rd for another eclectic and innovative concert. Last year’s sell-out show was highlighted by Lulo Reinhardt, descendant of the famous Django Reinhardt, who is back with IGN founder Brian Gore. This year added to the mix are Adrian Legg, called “a guitar wizard” by The Philadelphia Enquirer, and Brazilian Marco Pereira, who earned his Master’s Degree from the Sorbonne in Paris. No matter what the combination, the results are always magical, prompting The San Francisco Chronicle to hail this tour as “…a marvelous mix of virtuosos who astound.”
Now in its ninth year, International Guitar Night is the world’s premier and longest-touring guitar festival which brings together masters of the acoustic instrument for an exhilarating concert of solos, duets and quartets, highlighted by the virtuosity of the performance and a friendly, informal ambiance. With IGN, four distinctive guitar luminaries interact with peers from different genres to collaborate rather than compete, creating a unique brand of “guitar positivity,” as Gore likes to call it.
The lobby of The Ellen will open at 6:30 pm on Friday, February3rd for beer and wine sales prior to the concert, which starts at 7:30 pm. Seats for this event are priced at only $19.00, plus a $1.00 restoration fee.
