An earthquake just after midnight last night woke up people all across the state of Montana.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 5.8 magnitude earthquake hit at about 12:30 a.m. and was centered about 6 miles outside of Lincoln, Montana. Lincoln is located northwest of Helena.

The quake was also felt in Idaho and Washington, as well. People on social media have reported feeling the quake in Bozeman, Three Forks, Belgrade, and Amsterdam.

So far, no injuries have been reported that are associated with the earthquake. There were also numerous aftershocks, the highest magnitude a 4.9.
