Diamond Rio’s Song ‘In God We Still Trust’ – Banned Or Rumor? [Video]

Diamond Rio, who will be at Headwaters Country Jam June 27th, 28th and 29th , has a song and video circulating the internet, ‘In God We Still Trust.’

According to many, the band performed the song at a concert in Las Vegas to a standing ovation, only to have it shunned by radio stations.  The statements go on to say the song was even banned by the President.

I watched the video and wanted to get to the bottom of the story, and this is what I found out.

The song wasn’t released, but was on Diamond Rio’s 2006 Greatest Hits II CD.

When it was finally released, it was competing for airplay with many other patriotic country songs, and never climbed the charts.

It is true that school kids in Florida weren’t allowed to sing the song at a school performance.

Do you think they’ll sing it when they headline Headwaters Country Jam on Friday night?   I’m so excited to see them perform!  What do you think of the song?
