Congressman Denny Rehberg announced his candidacy for United States Senate tonight at the Lewis and Clark County Republican Party Lincoln/Reagan Day Dinner in Helena.

Rehberg, the sixth term Congressman, was joined by Congresswoman Michele Bachmann at the dinner as well as Carroll College Athletic Director Bruce Parker and Master of Ceremonies, Public Service Commission Chairman Bill Gallagher.

“Montana needs new leadership in the United States Senate.  If I’m elected to be Montana’s next Senator you’ll see me doing things a lot differently,” said Rehberg.  “I will make job creation our nation’s top priority, by cutting taxes and federal red tape.  And I’ll push a comprehensive energy strategy, to make the most of Montana’s natural resources, and reduce our America’s dependence on foreign oil.  And you can count on me to cut federal spending, reduce the federal debt and repeal ObamaCare.”
