On Sunday, I had the pleasure of joining the Extreme History Project on a bus tour to Virginia City. We had a great group of people with us and our tour guide, Montana historian Ellen Baumler, took us to places in Virginia City most people never see.

We also toured Nevada City, which I had yet to visit. The town was filled with living history characters and it felt like we were actually back in the 1860s. I even learned that Jack Nicholson filmed a movie there called The Missouri Breaks.

Below are some pics I took during the tour. If you would like to join us on our next tour scheduled for July 28th to the First Crow Indian Agency and the spot where John Bozeman was murdered, visit ExtremeHistoryProject.org.
