Help Close Up Get To The Capital

When I was in the 8th Grade in Casper, Wyoming (Go East Tigers!) I went on the Close Up trip to Washington, D.C.  Kind of life changing.  I got to visit all of the big monuments, the Supreme Court, the Smithsonian...all the good stuff.  I got to see more than most people do when they visit on their own.  It was a learning experience that I still cherish.  The 8th Graders at Monforton School are trying to get their entire class on that trip.  They have raised thousands and thousands of dollars, but are still $9000 short.

You can help by having a lot of fun!  They are holding a country social, dinner and dance this Friday, February 11th, from 5-10 at the Gallatin County Fair grounds, Building #1 East Entrance.  Bring your sweetheart, family and friends, and help the Monforton 8th graders dance their way to D.C.  Advanced ticket sales are $12 single, $20 couple, $35 family.  For tickets or more information you can contact Pat Busby at (406)580-9262, or Marsha ferraro at Big Sky Western Bank at (406)556-3888.  Dinner is from 5 to 7 with pulled pork, and meatball hoagies.  The dance is from 7 to 10 with the "Pretty Good String Band."  There will be an auction and door prizes, lots of food and fun for everyone!
