Katy Perry's 'Roar' is one of the biggest (and catchiest) pop singles of the year. Up-and-coming country star Charlie Worsham has taken the pop track and given it a country twist as part of his Cover Challenge.

Worsham arranged, recorded and mixed this twangy version of the track in just 24 hours! Those stats on their own are incredibly impressive, but once you listen, we think you will totally dig it.

Not only did Worsham give 'Roar' a country and bluegrass flavor, he also further explored the song's reference to having the "eye of the tiger" by incorporating the Survivor song of the same name into the mix. So it's not just a country cover; it's also a mashup of a modern pop song and an '80s rock jam, glazed over with some twang.

This clip further shows the newcomer's creativity by taking a straightforwardly pop song and re-imagining it in a totally different way. Worsham, who has enjoyed the highest-charting debut song in 2013 with 'Could It Be,' is preparing the release of his next single, 'Want Me Too.'

But for now, hear him 'Roar.'
