Montana's warm Fall weather will be turning with several Watches and Advisories becoming active. Red Lodge and the Beartooth Pass will be under a Winter Storm Watch until Tuesday evening for snow and gusty winds.
Rain was predicted for the Gallatin Valley today, but we ended up with snow. And more is a possibility. The local mountains are expected to see up to 5 inches out of this storm, which should be moving out of the area on Wednesday.
Batten down the hatches. It's supposed to get really windy later on this evening here in the Bozeman area. Winds are expected to be around 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph at times. Below is the official forecast issued by the National Weather Service:
