The Gallatin River experienced an ice jam earlier this week and officials are saying that with more cold temps and snow expected for the area, it could happen again. In fact the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for ice jam flooding on the Gallatin River between Big Sky and Gallatin Gateway.
We do have a storm system moving through the Bozeman area and it is causing some problems on I-90. Montana Highway Patrol is reporting a jackknifed semi and some other semis that have spun out on the east side of Homestake Pass on I-90.
If you are traveling for the Thanksgiving Holiday, here are the latest road and weather conditions in the Bozeman area: We are expecting another inch or two of snow here in the Gallatin Valley. More snow expected up in the higher elevations. Snow should be tapering off by this afternoon.
