New music is coming from Carrie Underwood. The pregnant country superstar announced that a new album containing a very “joyous, uplifting” first single will be in stores before Christmas.

Underwood, seated in a slim black dress, wasn’t "showing" during her ‘Today’ visit on Friday morning (Sept. 26). It sounds like the news that she’s expecting is still sinking in with her and Mike Fisher, too.

“Sometimes, I’ll be with my husband and I’m like, ‘I’m going to be a mom. You’re going to be a dad,’” Underwood said. “Like, is this real life?”

Fans may more excited to hear about the new music, however. A song called ‘Something in the Water’ will be at radio very soon. It’s the first single from Underwood's first greatest hits album. ‘Greatest Hits: Decade #1’ will be out on December 9.

The superstar described ‘Something …’ as a “joyous, uplifting song, basically about changing your life for the better.” That’s a theme that fits her weekend, as she’ll be performing at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City. To get tickets to this star-studded fest (Jay Z, the Roots and Sting are expected to turn up) one had to do good things. Learn all about it at the Global Citizen website.
