The annual Can the Griz Food Drive begins this weekend here in the Gallatin Valley. For the next two weeks, the Bozeman community will be competing with the Missoula community to see who can raise the most food leading up the Cat-Griz football game on November 19.

Last year nearly 200,000 lbs of food was raised for the Gallatin Valley Food Bank. That's the good news. The bad news is we lost, despite having won Can the Griz 14 of the 16 years we've been having the friendly competition.

Starting this weekend, look for food bins wherever you're doing your grocery shopping. Also, next Friday, November 11, join us the 12hr Can the Griz Food Drive on XL Country. Dave & Amy from the XL Morning Show will be collecting your food and broadcasting live from the Town & Country Foods on 19th St. in Bozeman. Jesse James will also be at the Town & Country Foods in Belgrade from 12p - 6pm.

Come on, XL Nation! We have to win this year! Please donate some non-perishable food items over the course of the next two weeks.
