The Bozeman Police Department had a busy weekend with all of the events happening in the Bozeman Area.

Here's a look at a few dispatch calls the Bozeman Police Department responded to over the weekend.

  1. Officer Kicked in Groin - On August 4, a Bozeman Police Officer observed a male kicking a small box across the parking lot of City Hall. The man appeared intoxicated and smelled of alcohol. The officer instructed the suspect to place his hands behind his back. At this point, the suspect began to resist arrest. The officer was struck in the groin multiple times by the suspect. The officer reported feeling pain and tightness emanating from his left testicle for several hours.
  2.  Woman With a Mustache - On August 5, officers responded to reports of a burglary at Strike Farms, located at 67 Rocky Road in Bozeman. The owner of Strike Farms had given the woman permission to camp on his property as long as she did not occupy any structures. When officers arrived, they found a woman wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. According to the report, she has a significant amount of hair on her upper lip, in essence, a mustache. The woman is currently in custody at the Gallatin County Detention Center.
  3. Smoking Dope at Pizza Hut - On August 5, officers responded to reports of individuals smoking drugs at the Pizza Hut in Belgrade. Officers were able to locate the blue Dodge Neon in which the suspects were traveling. After officers pulled the vehicle over, they asked for permission to searched the vehicle. In the search, officers found glass pipes and other paraphernalia. A substance found in the car tested positive for methamphetamine.
