With the 4th of July on Friday, here is a reminder of the local fireworks regulations:

  • Fireworks can only be discharged in the city of Bozeman for three days, July 3-5.
  • Fireworks can be set off from 12p to midnight on July 3 & July 5. They can be set off from noon until 1 a.m. on July 4.
  • Fireworks also cannot be discharged on major streets or alleys They can't be discharged within 300 feet of a public park or gas station.
  • Fireworks cannot be discharged within 1,000 feet of a hospital, assisted care or nursing facility.
  • It is illegal to set off fireworks from a motor vehicle or on top of one.
