Bozeman Baker to Provide Cake for Local Girl Who Is Ill

A local Bozeman baker is teaming up with a national organization called Icing Smiles to bring a local child named Aurora a custom-made Disney Princess-themed cake. Since 2010, Icing Smiles has  provided custom cakes and other treats for critically ill children and their families across the country. Aurora, who lives here in the Bozeman area, is battling a severe case of Laryngomalacia, where the tissue of the larynx collapses inward causing Aurora to stop breathing.

Jennifer Regester with Cakes by Jenn, who will be providing the cake, says she understands the importance of creating beautiful memories for these children suffering from terrible disease and their families.

“These children go through so much, and to bring a smile and make a birthday memorable through a beautiful, special cake is the best gift you can give.”

A medical mom herself, she is thrilled to have the opportunity to use her talents to put a smile on a child’s face.

“To know that I am using my art and talent to bring joy to someone else, to give them a smile, a giggle, a bright moment in their life to remember always is something that I carry with me and warms my heart as well.”

Icing smiles, with the help of their amazing network of specialty cake bakers, delivers an average of 200 children each month.  They will celebrate the delivery of their 7,000^th cake later this month.
