It's been a hot topic around town for the past few months, and last night the Bozeman City Commissioners passed a non-discrimination ordinance that protects people based on their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. It goes into effect in 30 days.

I find it sad that we're at a point in our evolution where people need to be forced to treat others decently and fairly. On the other hand, I'm a little uncomfortable with government mandating us to act a certain way. Karma and the Universe are a great equalizer. As most complicated situations are, this is a debate with a lot of gray area.

Our question to you is: How do you feel about the city of Bozeman adopting the non-discrimination ordinance?  Leave us a comment below, email us, or post on our Facebook page.
