Fewer Americans say they'll show up for Black Friday sales this week than last year.

This in spite of a barrage of advertising for post-Thanksgiving Day sales in all media, on television and on the Internet and by cellphone text message.

I never used to take part in Black Friday sales.  I hate the crowds.  I went a few years ago, though, because I found a price on an item one of my kids wanted, that was just too good to pass up.   I saved a ton of money, and now I am hooked!

I found this website that might help you with your Black Friday plan of attack.

Are you shopping on Black Friday?  How much money would you have to save to make you brave the crowds?

How do you feel about some stores opening at midnight on Friday?
