The end of the ski season is almost upon us, so it's time to bust out the skis and snowboards one last time. Big Sky Resort will be closing for the season a week from Sunday, and they're hosting a bunch of events before closing day.

Here's a list of some fun activities planned at Big Sky:

    Pond Skim

    On Saturday, April 15, Big Sky will host its annual Pond Skim. Registration is at 10 a.m. in front of the Basecamp building. $25 to register. Registration capped at 100 participants.

    The definition of Pond Skim is skiing or snowboarding down a hill and attempting to ski or snowboard across and ice cold frigid pond of water!

    Easter Egg Hunts

    Big Sky is hosting 3 separate Easter egg hunts this year!

    At 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 16, there will be an Easter egg hunt at both the Mountain Village Plaza and the Madison Village.

    Mountain Easter egg hunts will begin at 10 a.m. at Mr. K and Cinnabar. Three special eggs will be hidden throughout the resort. Look on any of the ski runs accessible by these chairlifts: Ramcharger, Powder Seeker, and Six Shooter.

    Closing Day

    The closing day for Big Sky is Sunday, April 16. Weather permitting.
