There have been many reports of vandalism around Bozeman lately. Whether it's a story about cars getting broke into, to windows of businesses being broken, vandalism is definitely on the rise around Bozeman and the Gallatin Valley.

I went into the Conoco gas station on the corner of 7th & Main earlier today and noticed that one of the doors was boarded up. When I asked the attendant what had happened, she informed me that someone had broken into the store last night around 4 a.m. Fortunately, no one was working at the time, and the burglar didn't get away with much. In fact, they only stole two rolls of pennies, and a tray of lighters.

Another case of vandalism that occurred recently in Bozeman happened at the City Center Inn on Main Street just east of 7th. The hotel itself is out of business, but it was still a target for vandals. A couple weeks ago they broke three windows on the second floor. The windows are now boarded up.

Those are just two of the many cases of vandalism that have been reported so far this summer around Bozeman. If you have any information that may lead to the arrest of those responsible for the recent vandalism, please call the Bozeman Police Department at 406-582-2000.

If you witness anyone defacing property or committing vandalism, you are urged to call the BPD. Don't put your life in danger. Be on the lookout!
