It there is one thing Americans like, it’s our food fast. Our great nation pioneered the fast food game, and judging from a new report from The Temkin Group we are doing a great job at it, if we do say so ourselves.

The survey asked 10,000 American adults to rank 17 national fast food chains on a variety of factors pertaining to how good their service was, and how their product made costumers feel. Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, and Subway tied for the top spot with an 80 percent rating, with Sonic Drive-In (78 percent) and Pizza Hut (77 percent) rounding at the top five.

An the other end of the spectrum, McDonald’s (71 percent) Burger King (71 percent) Jack in the Box (69 percent) Domino’s (68 percent) and Hardee’s occupied the bottom five spots.

But, according to Temkin, even the lowest rated fast food chain was “OK” when compared to other businesses that they ranked. In fact, the fast food industry ranked second of the 18 ranked industries for overall  satisfaction, trailing only grocery stores.
