She may not have won the big prize during her season of 'American Idol,' but Pia Toscano is still walking away with a record deal.

The singer, currently getting ready to hit the road with a group of fellow 'Idol' contestants, including winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina, for a summer tour, has inked a deal with Interscope, the label founded by her mentor on the show, Jimmy Iovine.

Interscope isn't wasting any time getting Pia's new music into the public's hands, either: her first single, titled 'This Time' and described as "an acoustic guitar and beat-driven track," is dropping July 12, with the full album scheduled for release before the end of the year.
